Who I Am

In 2008 I retired after 35 years in the Marine Insurance business. My background included a secession of senior management positions culminating as the Chief Operating Officer for the largest insurer of domestic marine risks in the US.

I then served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the oldest and largest international hull insurance facility in the US. Our clients included ship owners from around the world including Greece, Germany, Norway, as well as the US.

I have also been fortunate during my career to serve on a number of international and domestic insurance committees. These included the International Union of Marine Insurers Hull Committee on which I served as the US representative and later committee chairman, as well as the American Institute of Marine Underwriters where I chaired the subcommittee to revise the American Institute Hull Clauses, a leading hull insurance form for both US and international underwriters.
